As part of OBCR’s efforts to support local service initiatives that benefit the bay and shoreline we utilize for rowing, we are asking members of our OBCR family to attend the cleanup in lieu of their athletes who will be at practice during that time. As the weather has not been conducive to many days of water practice, the coaches need the water time on Saturday for those in town during break. However, the community service initiative that this cleanup presents is important to our bay, the town, and our rowers.

We will meet at T. R. Park in the parking lot by the gazebo to register for the event. Since drop off at practice is at 8:30 am, it will only be a short drive back to the Western Waterfront. The cleanup should only last about an hour or so.
Please bring work gloves and wear appropriate attire.
The Department of Environmental Resources hosts these cleanup events twice a year along the beaches and shoreline areas along Oyster Bay Harbor. These programs benefit wildlife and plants by creating cleaner, trash-free habitats. This cleanup is part of our environmental responsibility and stewardship as rowers on the bay.
We look forward to seeing you on the 16th! No rain date. Thank you.
